Outline timetable for Phase 1 development:
- 2008 properties acquired
- 2009 clearance of properties acquired completed
- 2010 development brief for new housing and community consultation
- 2011 planning permission
Residents’ associations and the Meir Community Steering Group have played a key role throughout in ensuring the community is engaged. Up to now there has been lots of planning and as projects start to be delivered, the need for consultation with the community will be greater than ever.
As well as new and improved homes and a better environment, sustainability means the involvement of all those individuals and groups that make Meir a community.
