Meir residents invited to have their say
Meir residents are being asked to have their say on improvements they’d like to see in their community.
Meir Community Steering Group is holding its Annual Open Meeting and Consultation on Estate Improvements on Thursday, February 18 at The Square Community Resource Centre, from 2.30 to 6pm.

Show Home Opens In Meir
The first former council-owned home to be completely refurbished as part of a regeneration scheme to bring affordable homes to Meir will be on show to the public from Friday (July 31).
The ‘show home’ at No 3 Woodville Road is one of four properties that form the new Woodlands development – a project designed to create a new ‘gateway’ into the Meir neighbourhood that will link the area to other developments in the area.
The redevelopment of Woodville Road is part of the first phase of RENEW North Staffordshire’s comprehensive regeneration programme in Meir. RENEW is working in partnership with Great Places Housing Group to transform the estate.

Be there at the Square! Great place for Meir community opens
A PAIR of ordinary semi-detached houses have been transformed by Great Places Housing Group and RENEW North Staffordshire into a fantastic new community resource centre for the people of Meir, Stoke.
The local authority homes have been opened up with the use of a new internal steel structure to provide large meeting spaces, kitchen and offices.
Great Places worked with funding from RENEW North Staffordshire to create the facility at The Square in the heart of the Meir neighbourhood.
