RENEW North Staffordshire’s flagship development is gearing up for the highlight of its social year – the City Waterside Festival.
The event at the City Waterside Community Centre, Dresden Street, Hanley, will see an afternoon of fun and family entertainment from 2-5pm on Saturday September 18th.
All the fun kicks off at 2pm when the Deputy Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent will open the event, then there’s something to keep everyone amused at the showcase festival.
Activities include a special appearance by Elvis – alias winner of the 2005 Stars in Their Eyes Gordon Hendricks; the launch of the Living Gallery; Sid St John; Urban Dance Crew display; bouncy castle; climbing wall; birds of prey; face painters; a barbecue and much more.
And anyone with ambitions to shine in the spotlight is being urged to get practicing for the highlight of the afternoon, the City Waterside’s Got Talent. Deadline for entries to the competition is September 11th with entry forms available from the City Waterside Community Centre.
