Community
Across the city, RENEW North Staffordshire is working to improve the quality of homes and the wider environment, helping to create a better the quality of life for all those that live and work in the area.
At the heart RENEW’s regeneration programme is the close involvement of local residents in planning work and its delivery ‘on the ground’.
To do this, local residents come together in all areas where major changes are taking place, to discuss the progress of work and raise issues important to them.
In each of RENEW’s five areas of major intervention, a Community Steering Group has been established. These steering groups act as sounding boards for local residents’ views, and have proved invaluable in advising RENEW, the local authorities involved and other stakeholders, such as private developers and registered social landlords (RSLs), about the regeneration programme.
The City Centre South Community Steering Group includes representatives from Etruria, North Shelton, Hanley South and City Waterside. It meets approximately every six weeks.
You can find out more about City Centre South Community Steering Group’s meetings by clicking here. You can contact the group by emailing renew@stoke.gov.uk
