RENEW North Staffordshire has worked with partner organisations on an 'eco terrace' project in Chesterton, near Newcastle-under-Lyme

The project demonstrates how traditional, energy-inefficient terraced houses can be transformed into environmentally-friendly, 21st century homes.

The Chesterton eco terrace project gained national recognition when it won the 'Building 99% Campaign Award for Refurbishment' at the 2008 Sustainability Awards. The project was also shortlisted for the CIH Housing Awards and Inside Housing magazine's Sustainability Awards.
