Reroot
In July 2008, RENEW North Staffordshire introduced the Reroot business relocation grant scheme.
Reroot is funded by Advantage West Midlands (AWM) and is designed to help local businesses who are affected by redevelopment work to relocate to more suitable premises within North Staffordshire.
Reroot provides grants of up to £25,000, covering up to 50% of total relocation costs, to companies that:
- are in an area affected by regeneration
- pay rates to Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council or Stoke-on-Trent City Council
- employ less than 250 people
- are manufacturers or service providers
The focus of the Reroot grant scheme is to keep businesses within North Staffordshire, by providing them with free business support and advice, as well as financial help to cover the cost of relocation – including, solicitors and removal company’s fees, refurbishing or refitting costs at new premises, new signage costs.
