West End village that gives you extra

The new build extra care facility on London Road in Stoke is due to be completed in January 2011. The village will be for the over 55s and managed by Staffordshire Housing Association.

The first phases of the 100 two-bedroom apartments have been allocated already and the next phases are due to be sold, rented or offered on the shared ownership scheme.

The list of facilities and services available in the pioneering development is vast and includes staff being on site 24 hours a day, a lounge and coffee shop area, restaurant, village shop, hair salon, fitness centre and conservatory with gardens.
