Second phase of facelifts planned for Stoke homes
25 May 2010
Planning is now under way for the second phase of RENEW work in Stoke town centre involving a facelift scheme for homes and the purchasing of six empty properties.
The work will focus on key corridors into the town, including the Campbell Road area, completing boundary walls where possible and undertaking comprehensive facelifting work on front windows, doors, gutters and pointing.
This follows the recent completion of the first phase of work close to Stoke town centre where homes have benefited from smart new front walls.
The £78,000 scheme in the Campbell Road area was completed by RENEW North Staffordshire partners, Staffordshire Housing and PM Training.
All work on the scheme was carried-out by local workmen and seven trainees from locally-based PM Training gained on the job experience.
