Run it, walk it... be part of the 2010k
26 March 2010
Sporty citizens across RENEW communities are being urged to get their running shoes on and take part in a major local sporting event.
The 2010k run is a major part of this year’s Festival of Sport the city’s federation centenary celebrations, with a 10k race and 2k fun run through the city, on Sunday, May 30.
The race is open to everyone, including professional and amateur runners, and will also feature a 2k fun run for the whole family to take part in. The route starts outside Stoke Town Hall and finishes on Kingsway in Stoke Town Centre.
All entrants will get a free t-shirt and there will also be prizes awarded to the first five male and female finishers.
Entry to the 10k run costs £10 or £8 if you belong to a running club, and the fun run costs just £2 to enter. Entries on the day will be subject to a £1 administration charge.
