North Shelton masterplan consultation gets under way

North Shelton residents, businesses and community groups are being invited to find out more about RENEW North Staffordshire’s plans to develop the area.

Plans which have been developed following consultations with local residents, local groups and key stakeholders are being unveiled this week, followed by a series of events throughout May and June.

Stoke-on-Trent based consultants Hulme Upright and B Arts have been working with the local community to develop options for key sites across North Shelton and the events will outline the preferred option and give local people the chance to comment.

The exhibitions are being held as follows:

  • Sun 23rd May 2010 at Rectory Road Community Centre (Urdu speaking staff will be present at this consultation event) – 1-4pm
  • Wed 26th May 2010 at The Ember Lounge, Staffordshire University Student Union – 1-4pm
  • Wed 16th June 2010 at The Lift Centre, Norfolk Street – 1-4pm
  • Wed 23rd June 2010 at The Islamic Centre (Urdu speaking staff will be present at this consultation event) - 10am-1pm.

The final proposals developed following consultations will form an overall Masterplan and this will provide the planning framework for future development in North Shelton.
