Fun day chance to see final plans.

When RENEW holds the City Waterside Festival on Saturday September 18th it will be using this as an opportunity to invite people to see how the master planning teams have been working in the area to bring regeneration down to street level.

This process has been going on now since 2009. Urban designers Taylor Young were chosen with the help of members of the Community Steering Group to develop a masterplan for the City Waterside East area.

Following a period of wide-ranging consultation during June and July 2010 on the 'preferred masterplan option' the plan is now at its final stage and will be presented at the festival.

The event - at the City Waterside Community Centre, Dresden Street, Hanley – will be an afternoon of fun and family entertainment from 2-5pm. As well as a chance to view the plans, there will be all kinds of exciting events to suit everyone.

The proceedings kick off at 2pm when the Deputy Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent opens the event at which it’s promised there will be something for all members of the family.
