A fun free event for all the family.
12 August 2010
A fun day for all the family is planned for The Square, in Meir on Friday August 27th. Residents are invited to join in a variety of games and activities including karate sessons, football, bouncy castle, arts and crafts and much more. Refreshments will be provided.
As well as a celebration of the first year of the The Square, the fun day will also mark the 100 year celebration of the formation of the six towns of Stoke-on-Trent and offer an opportunity to remind local residents of the progress with the Area Regeneration Framework (ARF) for the area.
Commented Richard Kettrick of Great Places: “We have received generous donations from all our local partners to enable us pay for a variety of fun activities and displays on the day. We are also hoping to run a competition to allow a lucky resident to win a ’60 minute makeover’ style prize.
“As well as this we will be showing progress on the estate with the ARF, Stoke Council will be consulting on a proposed new one-way system and each partner agency will be publicising their services and work that they are doing in the locality.”
